Hope ended for those who awaited the return of four young people who, just on Christmas day, joined the tragic list of the 110,000 disappeared in Mexico, because when they traveled from Zacatecas to Jalisco they stopped having communication with their relatives. After several weeks their bodies were found in a clandestine grave.
These are the sisters Daniela and Viviana Márque Pichardo, their cousin Paola Vargas Montoya and the American resident José Melesio Gutiérrez Padilla, who was engaged to the former and who traveled to Mexico to finalize the details of their wedding, for which the fateful day of his disappearance they celebrated double.
It was Monday, January 16, when the vehicle in which they were traveling was found in Zacatecas by members of the National Guard; had bullet wounds, so it could be imagined that they had been victims of an attack. Another car was also found, in one of them there was a male body, in a state of skeletal reduction, but due to the conditions it was impossible to know, without the corresponding genetic tests, if it belonged to one of the wanted young people.
At the same time, the Zacatecas Prosecutor’s Office reported that an irregular burial area was found at the Monte de la Presa Vieja Ranch. Inside the grave, four bodies corresponding to three women and one man were found, all in skeletal decomposition.
Although everything seemed to indicate that they belonged to the young people whose families were searching hard, The authorities asked to wait for the genetic results to be able to give them full identificationMeanwhile, the four continued to be considered missing.
Hope was still in force, in the municipality of Colotlán, Jalisco, where the women were from, they held a prayer vigil for them to appear alive. But that same day the identity of the victims was confirmed and the wait ended..
Almost a month has passed since the young people traveled to the Magical Town of Jerez, in Zacatecas, they were going back to Jalisco. On that journey, his relatives received a strange message, in which they only sent them a location in the Las Víboras community, still in Zacatecan territory. After that, they did not hear from them again, until they were notified of their death..
Thus, José, 26 years old, who was originally from León, Guanajuato, and now resided in the United States; Daniela, 31, who was an interior designer; Viviana, 26 and a fashion designer, as well as Paola, 27, a makeup artist, joined the list of people who were found dead after disappearing.
It is unknown what happened to them and who caused their death, although investigations are ongoing.
