Ignacio Ambriz released himself from the chains and strongly criticized the organization of Mexican soccer. The Toluca coach was one of the candidates to take over the reins of El Tri, but “Nacho” was removed from the list. Ambriz’s statements were directly to the “neck” of the Mexican Football Federation (FMF).

“Not at this time (I would go to Tri). The great commitment I have with the club because now is not the time (…) I am not going to deny that when I was champion with León, I was interestedthere was a coach, but I think It is also time for a Mexican“, sentenced Ambriz in an interview with Fox Sports.

Much has been said about the possibility of other foreign coaches leading a new process for the Mexican National Team. Marcelo Bielsa, Guillermo Almada, Diego Cocca, Nicolás Larcamón and Ricardo Ferretti They have been some of the names that have been on the federation’s radar. But Ambriz only postulates his countrymen.

“There is Jimmy (Jaime Lozano), there is El Piojo (Miguel Herrera); They rule out Flaco (Luis Fernando) Tena when he was Olympic champion. There is Vuce (Víctor Manuel Vucetich), who says that he does not (…) I think we have material. In the end, both national and foreign we have stayed in what we have all barked (fourth game of the World Cup)in which we have all gotten angry, we have lied mother, in everything ”, he explained.

The Toluca coach considers that Mexican soccer and everything that composes it is in crisis. In his position, Ambriz reaffirmed his dislike for starting a new process with a foreign strategist. From Liga MX to the bench of El Tri, “Nacho” questions the little relevance of the Mexicans.

“Understand that Mexican soccer and the environment are in crisis (…) I wonder: Why hasn’t a process been respected for the Mexican coach? That entails everything (…) Nacho, with what you say you can be left out! I don’t mind staying out. I am also making a mistake in my team, when there are more Mexicans than foreigners. I am also responsible for that. All of us, if we really put ourselves, the net, and we criticize ourselves, we get out of the comfort state, we stop nonsense: we are all making mistakes”, he concluded.
