The Argentine coach of Tigres, Diego Cocca, said that he would be very happy if the incorporation of Diego Lainez to the feline team’s squad came to fruition. He highlighted the qualities of the Mexican who was currently discarded by Sporting Braga, and said that a player with his characteristics would do the team good.

Cocca affirmed that from Tigres they are open to the possibility of adding a player with the characteristics of Diego Lainez. “They are important players and if it closes us for the team and it is a characteristic that we do not have, Tigres is open to incorporating that class of players“, Said the trainer of the cats and that he was a two-time champion with Atlas.

He continued talking about the reinforcements of the team such as the scorer of the Apertura Tournament, Nicolás Ibáñez, and insisted on the name of the native of Villahermosa. “Nicolás Ibáñez is a decisive striker just like Gignac. The idea is that they complement each other. Putting a part into a performance can take time“.

“I cannot say when, or where, or how, the important thing is that it is there. As Tigres does not cease to amaze me, one more reinforcement could come“, launched Cocca and excited the fans with a possible arrival of Lainez on the campus.

For now the future of Diego Lainez is uncertainClub América would have already rejected his hiring since the player would be asking for a salary of $2 million dollars a year, in Europe Sporting Braga did not want him and is returning him to Betis, there is also talk of Ajax and apparently there would be some MLS option.

Nevertheless Tigres continues to embrace the possibility of incorporating the 22-year-old player into the team and apparently there would be no problem regarding the economic issue.. It remains to be seen how this issue is resolved, which has become one of the biggest unknowns in Mexican soccer for this season.
