At the age of 50, the former Mexican soccer player arrived on January 17 Cuauhtemoc Blanco, considered a legend in his country.
Born in the Mexico City on January 17, 1973Blanco, after his retirement, decided to make his way into politics.
He stood out at the beginning of his career as a prodigious striker and winger, then he established himself as a creative midfielder.

One of his main characteristics, in the Mexican team, is that most of his goals were scored in official competition (21), unlike most of the goals scored by those who surpass him, which were achieved in many friendlies.
He was the first Mexican player to score a goal in three World Cups, one in France 98, another in Korea-Japan and one more that scored him in the World Cup in South Africa in 2010.
Along with Alberto García-Aspe (1994 and 1998), Rafael Márquez (2006, 2010 and 2014) and Javier Hernández (2010, 2014 and 2018), he is one of the 4 Mexican players to score goals in 2 consecutive World Cups (1998 and 2002). .
He officially announced his retirement as a soccer player in 2016, a year before he began in Morelos politics. On June 7 of that same year, in the state elections, he won the municipal presidency of Cuernavaca, for the Social Democratic Party.
Then he resigned from that party and entered the “Social Meeting Party”, in which he would achieve his victory in the 2018 state elections, for the position of governor of that state.

In an interview for an American medium, Blanco expressed that he feels extremely happy with what he has achieved throughout his 50 years of life.
He expressed that if he could be born again, it would be him again, since he had a good childhood and enjoyed his time as a soccer player.
“The truth is that nothing The only thing I would change is going back to childhood, playing marbles with my friends, little shells, little roads, a kicked boat. There are many things like that that would be the only thing that would change”, acknowledged the former player of America.
