Tigres UANL’s win against the current Mexican soccer champion, Pachuca, was marked by the surprising presence of Hollywood actor Rob Schneiderwho is a declared fan of the royal team and took advantage of his visit to Monterrey to attend the University Stadium.
Schneider did not want to miss matchday 2 of the 2023 Liga MX Clausura Tournament and appeared accompanied by his wife Patricia Azarcoya and his co-star Mónica Huarte from the movie ‘What a trip with dad!’.
The actor is in town to promote his new movie, which will be out in February. It was the same feline club that reported on the presence of the interpreter in the stands of the sports venue and even went down to the grass to pose for the official photo with the eleven.
“Tigers, Rob Schneider and all together for the win” they wrote and accompanied with the photograph from the field.
Schneider would also speak on his social networks with a couple of messages. In the first he thanked and congratulated Tigres for the victory. In the second he was even encouraged to predict that Diego Cocca’s team could win this year.
“Thank you incomparable. Congratulations, Tigers 4-1. What a night!” she stated.
“AMAZING. Thanks, Tigers. I think we will have another Championship season for Monterrey!”, he declared.
It is not the first time that the interpreter visits the royal temple, since prior to the title of the Opening 2015 and 2017 he was already fanning for the cats. Already last October 2022, another Hollywood star also shared in the Tigers facilities.
While promoting his movie Black Adam in Monterrey, the actor and WWE figure, Dwayne Johnson, better known as The Rock, shared with part of the staff.
