David Carrick, a London Metropolitan (Met) Police officer, pleaded guilty to 49 sexual assault charges, including 24 rapes in a period of more than 18 years.
In a statement that was released, the Met, or Scotland Yard, condemned the “appalling criminal actions” committed by Carrick, 48, who appeared today before a judicial hearing held before a London court.
