Along with men’s soccer, the Women’s MX League Action has already started with 18 teams seeking to position themselves in the classification table, which began to be dominated by the UANL Tigres, who defeated the UNAM Pumas by a resounding score of 3-1.

The felines, which have a championship-winning squad and a long-lasting project, only comparable to the Eagles of America, were left with the clash through Jacqueline Ovalle, the Nigerian Uchenna Kanu and Sthepanie Mayor. For Pumas discounted Sthepanie Ribeiro.

Kanu finished off with his left foot in minute 26, his shot was saved by goalkeeper Miriam Aguirre, but it meant a preview of what would come in the following minutes, an offensive avalanche from the defending champions, with three goals scored in eight minutes.

Jacqueline Ovalle finished off with her left foot from outside the area and made it 1-0 in minute 30, with the collaboration of the goalkeeper. Two minutes later, Kanu scored from the right and in minute 38; Mayor converted from his left foot with assistance from Ovalle.

The first half was a monopoly of the ball for the tigresses with a percentage of 60-40; the second half was a little more balanced, with the Pumas generating a couple of chances and in the end the discount goal: when the commitment was over, at 87′ Ribeiro’s left foot scored a goal.

With two victories in two outings, Tigres leads the tournament for more goals scored than Juárez FC, while the Nigerian Kanu is the leading scorer with four goals, one more than Alicia Cervantes, from Guadalajara, and Myrna del Delgadillo, who this Friday gave Juárez a 1-0 win over Querétaro.
