Terrible wrong-way accident leaves three people dead on the 210 Freeway in San Bernardino County

A terrible accident in the opposite direction High speed in San Bernardino County killed three people.

The accident occurred this Saturday morning on the 210 Freeway, in the Fontana area.when a car that was being driven at high speed crashed into another vehicle, authorities reported.

A 2012 Ford was heading east on the west side of the 210 Freeway when it collided with a 2001 Lexus carrying two adults and three children.at approximately 6:30 am, according to reports from the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The driver of the wrong-way Ford, described as a 23-year-old man from Fontana, died at the scene.

also died the driver of the Lexus, a 43-year-old man from Highland, as well as a 16-year-old female passenger.

The other three passengers who were in the Lexus Seriously injured in the violent collision: a 5-year-old girl, a 3-year-old boy and a 42-year-old woman.

All the occupants of the Lexus were residents of the town of Highland, although it was not immediately known if they were members of the same family. The injured people were taken to local hospitals for urgent medical attention.

According to the CHP dispatcher’s records, Witnesses reported that the driver of the Ford car was continually changing from one lane to another as the vehicle was driven at high speeds of up to 100 miles per hour.even before crashing near the Citrus Avenue exit.

The accident remains under investigation by authorities.
