This Sunday a new day of the famous Kings League was played and the ex-soccer player Sergio ‘Kun’ Agüero gave the surprise by being the unknown player of his own club. The Argentine ended up scoring 2-2 during the match and celebrated by simulating a Lionel Messi celebration with a special dedication to his friend, the streamer Ibai Llanos.
Llanos is precisely the president of Porcinos FC, the team they were up against. After scoring the goal that put the tie on the scoreboard, ‘Kun’ ran to the sideline and put his hands to his ears simulating the celebration that Lionel Messi or the mythical Juan Román Riquelme has sometimes done.
The sector towards which he directed the celebration was the box of Porcinos FC, where Ibai was located. Agüero showed that his quality remains intact despite his inactivity after retiring from soccer more than a year ago due to a heart problem. The forward grabbed the ball outside the area and did not hesitate to hit the goal.
“The celebration of Sergio Agüero with a message for Ibai Llanos,” wrote the official Kings League Twitter account. Shortly after, they posted a photo of the Spanish streamer imitating Kun.
Agüero turned out to be the ‘joker’, a new figure implemented in this tournament that consists of the use of a “famous” player who plays with a mask.
Despite his performance and ending up being voted MVP of the match, Kuni Sports was unable to win against Porcinos FC in a match that had to go to a penalty shootout.
Agüero spoke at the end of the game and expressed feeling “dead” and affected by the heat. “The game was very fun and you do have to be physically fit.” Regarding the celebration, the Argentine confirmed that he was simulating the celebration of Messi.
“It’s a celebration that Leo made and it reminded me that Ibai is very similar to Van Gaal (…) just kidding, with Ibai everything is fine. Congratulations because he won,” he said.
