One of Gerard Piqué’s partners in the Kings League publicly defended the Catalan’s current partner, Clara Chía Martí, after the spicy song that Shakira premiered this week and in which she hit him harshly. This is the president of the Jijantes team, Gerard Romero.
Through a live broadcast through the Twitch platform, the journalist also gave his opinion along with other collaborators about the controversy caused by the topic that has already exceeded 90 million views and stressed that the young woman did not deserve the harsh lyrics that the Colombian embodied in his last hit.
“Clara is a very good girl, I don’t know if she had to receive that direct blow, the truth,” said Romero from Jijantes TV.
Another of those who participated in the live show was Víctor Navarro, a Kings League journalist and Martí’s co-worker, who is part of Kosmos, Piqué’s company and the reason why it is linked to this tournament.
The communicator highlighted Clara’s labor and human qualities and stated that the situation has affected her. “I arrive early every Sunday and she has already been working for hours. She is very hardworking, she is always preparing things. She is aware of everything and asking if everything is okay. She has had a hard time, especially because of the paparazzi issue ”.

Shakira’s hints to Clara Chía Martí
In the song released on January 11 on YouTube, Shakira dedicates some hints in which she seems to point harshly at the young woman. Phrases like: “He has the name of a good person, clearly it is not what it sounds like”; “I was too big for you and that’s why you’re with someone just like you.”
In the final part of the song, the interpreter indirectly compared herself with Clara Chía Martí to try to show that Piqué had made a mistake in her choice.
“Zero grudges, baby. I wish you well with my supposed replacement”; “I am worth two out of 22, you traded a Ferrari for a Twingo. You traded a Rolex for a Casio”; “I’ll vacate you tomorrow and if you want to bring her to come too”, were other of the burning phrases dedicated to the current partner of the former FC Barcelona defender.
Last Friday, in one of the Kings League programs with Gerard Piqué at the helm in the company of all the presidents of the clubs, the Catalan took what happened with humor and on several occasions joked about it with his teammates.
