Men have become popular lingerie models in Chinabecause with them companies can turn around a law that prohibits women from doing the same.
As the Oddity Central site recalls, a couple of years ago, the Chinese authorities began cracking down on the broadcast industry live in general, imposing a series of rules and guidelines.
One of those rules is that Women who wear lingerie on streaming risk being charged by the authorities of “spreading obscene information”.
They flip the law
To avoid this legal problem, lingerie stores have turned to male models to model their sexy products in live broadcasts across TV and the internet.
These companies manage to turn the ban around, since Chinese legislation clearly specifies that women are prohibited from wearing women’s lingerie on live broadcasts, but does not say anything about men.
According to the popular Twitter account @xiaojingcangxue, various live trading channels now turn to slender male models to display feminine lingerie and thus avoid breaking the law.
The post also shows two streaming images in which two men dressed in female lingerie appear posing for the live show, which would regularly star female models.
the publication elicited mixed reactions among Twitter users: while many they joked about this situation atypical, others lamented that lingerie companies are forced to resort to such tactics to avoid serious repercussions from the Chinese government.
Knowing the significant control that the Chinese government exercises over the population, it is expected that it will probably be a matter of time before this legal loophole is closedespecially if this strange trend begins to spread more.
