This Wednesday the officials Nassau County Republicans Called for the Resignation of Rep. George Santos to his charge for the series of lies, ranging from his background, work experience and ancestry, that the New York Republican fabricated to achieve his political goal.

Nassau County Republican Chairman, Joseph Cairo, said the New Yorker had “disgraced the House of Representatives” in addition to having launched a campaign based on “deceit, lies and fabrication” to win the vote of the Third District of New York, thus changing the district in favor of the Republicans.

Through a press conference, Cairo demanded “the immediate resignation” of Santoswhich would cause to some extent a blow to the Republican Party who seeks to govern in 2024.

Cairo also assured that “the campaign of George Santos, last year, it was a campaign of deceit, lies and fabrications. He misled 3rd Congressional District voters, Nassau County committee members, elected officials, his colleagues, candidates, opponents, and even some of the media.”

This is not the first claim that Santos has faced formally. The 34-year-old politician is joined by a separate complaintthis week, for violating campaign finance laws and urging the Federal Election Commission to investigate it.

Two New York Democrats on Tuesday asked the House Ethics Committee to investigate whether Santos violated federal statute that requires lawmakers to file “timely, accurate, and complete” financial statements.
