Although there was talk of a possible retirement from the world of stages and concerts for the Puerto Rican singer, Bad Bunnythis is not entirely true, since it was known that the artist is headlining the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival this year.

Along with the Puerto Rican, Frank Ocean and the female K-pop group BLACKPINK will also perform.

In this way, Bad Bunny will become the first Spanish-speaking artist to occupy the main stage.

There will be two consecutive weekends, from April 14 to 16 and from April 21 to 23, are the dates chosen for the event.

The Spanish Rosalía will also perform at the event, along with Gorillaz, Bjork, among many other artists.

What led to the decision for Bad Bunny to be the head of this event were their last two tours, held last year.

“The Last Tour of the World and World’s Hottest Tour”, in which a record was collected of 435 million dollars altogether.

For his part, Frank Ocean had been chosen to perform at the 2020 festival, but with the arrival of the pandemic, he himself was suspended.

As for the 2022 edition, it had the participation of some artists such as Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, The Weeknd and the Swedish House Mafia reunion after the event was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.

And as expected, the event had surprising and boisterous moments, which made people go crazy on the grounds ofThe Empire Polo Club.

Controversy

While this news is given, Bad Bunny is not counting on the best of those present at the media level.

In recent days, he was involved in a controversy after a video was released showing the singer when, out of anger, he grabbed a phone from a fan and threw it into the sea.

When the video went viral, the singer himself came out to defend himself on the Twitter social network; however, after a few days he deleted the tweet, in which He defended his course.

People continued to strongly criticize him for his Instagram account and in recent days he was forced to suspend it.
