With the beginning of the year 2023, The Consulate General of Mexico in Los Angeles resumes the “Consulate on Wheels” programwith which several areas of the county will be visited during the month of January.
The purpose of the “Consulate on Wheels” program is to offer some procedures and services to Mexican citizens in Los Angeles County so that they do not have to travel to the diplomatic headquarters.
Among the procedures and services offered with this alternative are the issuance of passports, consular registrations and records for the application of the voter card.
Although the consulate requires that interested parties schedule an appointment to carry out the procedures, During the month of January, care will be offered without the need for an appointment from Tuesday, January 10 to Saturday, January 14, at the following locations, between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m..
However, it is necessary that interested persons bring all the necessary documents to carry out their procedures.
The places where the “Consulate on Wheels” will be held are:
- Jalisco Office: at 3200 Mulford Avenue, #201, in Lynwood, CA 90262
- FENINE: 514 W Anaheim Street, in Wilmington, CA 90744
- My house is Puebla: 328 S Indiana Street, in Los Angeles, CA 90063
In this places, care will not be offered to people who do not have appointments on dates or at times other than those mentioned.
To request an appointment, the Mexican government offers the “My Consulate” systemwhich came into operation on March 1, 2022 and which allows for a greater capacity to serve Mexican citizens interested in carrying out a procedure or service in the United States.

The “Consulate on Wheels” will also be held at the Jalisco Office from Tuesday 17 to Saturday 21, and from Tuesday 24 to Saturday 28 January 2023. In the system, this place appears as Mobile Los Angeles 1.

Officials from the General Consulate of Mexico in Los Angeles warned the public to be vigilant because there are some people who offer their services to make appointments in exchange for money, because it is a fraud.
