Train crash in the Mexico City Metro leaves one dead and more than 30 injured

This Saturday morning the Collision of two trains of the Mexico City Metro that he left as balance one dead and more than 30 injured.

The head of government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaumconfirmed the incident through his social network Twitter, while the Secretary of Government, Matí Batres, reported that four people were “pressed“ after the crash and only one of them lost her life; she is a woman of approximately 25 years.

“There was registered a collision between trains on Line 3 of the Metro, emergency services on site. The Secretaries of Government, Citizen Security, Comprehensive Risk Management, and the Director of the Metro arriving at the scene. I’m reporting and on my way. More information soon,” he posted on Twitter.

Sheinbaum added that he instructed the director of the Metro, Guillermo Calderón, as well as the Secretary of Citizen Security, Omar Garcia Harfuchthat clearly inform society about what happened.

The President of the Mexican Republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, regretted the accident and sent his condolences to the relatives of the deceased person, as well as solidarity to the injured. In addition, she confirmed that the mishap is being attended by public servants.

It’s known that all the people who were injured were taken to different hospitals and none, for now, is in danger of death. So far, the Mexican authorities have not revealed the causes of this accident.
