This Friday it was learned that the 29-year-old professional soccer player, Jean-Emmanuel Nedra, was arrested at the Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, France, for allegedly transporting 100 kilograms of cocaine hidden inside his luggage, as reported by the municipality of Bobigny and picked up the medium ‘Le Parisien’.

Nedra was with her partner at the time of the capture and both were brought before a judge last Wednesday, according to what was reported by the Prosecutor’s Office. However, the person who accompanied him was released under judicial supervision and the player placed in preventive detention.

The 29-year-old figure is international with the Martinique team and currently defends the ranks of L’Aiglon du Lamentin of the island’s Soccer League, who regretted what happened to local media cited by ‘Le Parisien’.

“Without knowing his degree of involvement, we learned that one of our players was arrested in Roissy for drug trafficking. Let us be stronger and united than ever to continue our work of education through sport, to fight against this scourge, to protect and alert our young people to the risks, consequences and abuses of this environment”, they assured.

Nedra plays in the midfielder position and has always played in the Martinique League, where he has gone through four different teams, playing 180 minutes of the French Cup with his current club, L’Aiglon du Lamentin. With the national team he has been a figure for the last 10 years.
