Kevin McCarthy loses again and there are 14 votes in the House of Representatives

The House of Representatives held the 14th vote on Thursday night to elect its president and the legislators of the Republican Party they once again left the functioning of the legislative body in suspense.

the republican representative kevin mccarthy has lost again in this round of voting to secure the speaker deck, despite earlier optimism among his allies, for one vote.

McCarthy got 216 votes from his party, while the leader of the Democrats in the House, Hakeem Jeffriesonce again received the 212 votes of his formation.

McCarthy needed Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz to put him on top with his 14th round vote, but instead, Gaetz voted present. McCarthy and his main allies rushed to Gaetz to try to change his mind, but he was unfazed.

The current House leadership vote is now the longest race for president in 164 years, having gone to fourteen no-win votes and is the longest contest in 164 years, since Congress during which the states began to secede from the Union to start the Civil War.

His allies expected McCarthy to win after building momentum after making concessions that helped swing 15 votes from Republicans who held out on Friday.

With the presidential election in its fourth day, the House of Representatives cannot move on with any other business until a leader is chosen.
