The arrest of Ovid Guzman in Culiacán, Sinaloa, it triggered a series of confrontations, blockades and vehicle fires in different parts of the state, and although at first there was no talk of fatalities, as the hours passed this changed.
And it is that, as part of the violent reaction after the capture of “El Ratón”, an ambush was recorded in the municipality of Escuinapa, where hitmen from the Sinaloa cartel They killed a military commander and three of the soldiers who were escorting him.
Its about Colonel of the Mexican Army Juan José Morenocommander of the 43rd Infantry Battalion in Tepic, Nayarit, who left the barracks for Culiacán, but was attacked in the community of Palmillas.
According to national media such as Foro TV, the military command was heading to the capital of Sinaloa to support security work, but was ambushed along with their escorts.

For their part, the authorities have not disclosed any information in this regard, and even the governor of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha, denied having any information about this ambushadding that he only had confirmation of the kidnapping of four paramedics, who were already safe.
In addition, the official provided a preliminary balance of 250 stolen vehicles and 27 wounded by firearms, as well as the death of an element of the National Guard.
