Two teenagers are rescued from a crashed vehicle that is left dangling on the edge of a stream in City of Industry

Two teenagers were rescued after being in an accident that left his vehicle dangling dangerously on the edge of a creek Wednesday in City of Industryin Los Angeles County.

Young Jennifer Torres, 18, and her friend Ehaina Garcines were riding in a Nissan Altima at the intersection of Nogales Street and Arenth Avenue when, according to Torres, the driver of a pickup truck tried to turn left directly in front of them.

“I was in shock. I just saw the car trying to turn, we were going in a straight line and then the crash happened,” the 18-year-old told KTLA.

The impact with the van pushed the girls’ Nissan Altima through a fence and almost over the edge of a stream where the water ran under them.

The adolescents said that they were afraid the vehicle might slide backwards and end up falling into the creek.

“I was on the passenger side and I could see the water running underneath,” Garcines said.

The two young women were trapped inside the Altima until the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) first responders They arrived at the scene, broke the passenger window, and forced the door open.

After being rescued, Torres and Garcines were taken to safety. The two girls were unharmed in the accident..

Rescue teams were also able to remove the Nissan Altima from the edge of the creek without any mishap.

It was reported that the driver of the truck also escaped unharmed from the vehicle mishap.
