Spotify lets you create a “time capsule” that only you can open in 2024

The time capsules are a concept that has stuck in popular culture for decades and now Spotify adapts it to music so your users can create one.

Spotify wants to bottle your thoughts and emotions just as they are in this beginning of 2023 with a digital time capsule that you can open until the new year of 2024

“Is 2023 going to be your best year or are you already getting under the covers? In any case, we know that you have some songs that encapsulate your mood. So to celebrate the new year, we launched a timely user experience that will help you capture the moment by the time January 2024 rolls around”, reported Spotify in an official statement.

This new option is called “Playlist in a Bottle” and seeks that users of the music platform capture who you are now to remember him a year later.

“’Playlist in a Bottle’ is our ultimate interactive in-app experience that captures who you are musically right now and allows you to return to your 2023 musical self a year later,” Spotify adds.

“Playlist in a Bottle” now available in 27 markets and 18 languages for free and Premium users of iOS and Android devices, reported Spotify-

How to make your “Playlist in a Bottle”?

Spotify lists the steps to follow:

-Make sure that you Spotify mobile app is up to date with the latest version.

-Click on spotify.com/playlistinabottle from your mobile device.

–Select the time capsule you prefer: a bottle, a jean pocket, a gumball machine, a lunch box or a teddy bear.

–Answer a series of questions inspired by songs For example:

“A song you’re going to kiss someone with this year.”
“A song that reminds you of your favorite person”
“A song you need to hear live in 2023”

–Digitally seal your capsule of musical time and send it!
