Luka Modric, Real Madrid player and captain of the Croatian national team, Luka Modric, has assured that he has already recovered from the wear and tear of playing in the World Cup in Qatar and that, back in Madrid, he is completely ready for new challenges of the “miracle” that football is for him.

“One quickly recovers from all that, at least I feel that way,” the 37-year-old midfielder told the Croatian daily Jutarnji list.

After enjoying a week’s vacation with his family at the end of the World Cup, Modric returned to Real Madrid and sHe made himself available to coach Carlo Ancelloti to play immediately, but the coach planned a gradual return to the game for him, Modric said.

“No problem, whatever it takes. Here I am, ready and eager for new struggles and challenges”, he commented.

He revealed that he was happy to return to his club, where everyone is “very close.”

As for the bronze of the Croatian team in Qatar, after the silver in the World Cup in Russia in 2018, he also considered that they are achievements attributable above all to the union and combativeness of the team.

“I think the key was that union and combativeness, the character of warriors who never give up,” he said. And he added: “We are still not aware how great it is for Croatia to repeat a medal in four years.”

In addition, he described as “fantastic” the massive reception with which the national team was received in the country.

“Why would one want all those cups and medals if they had no one to share that happiness with. When we see all those people truly happy for the triumphs of the national team, we realize that this is the meaning of all that we do. And you already want another new foster. Sport is a miracle, football is a miracle”, declared the footballer.
