Alyssa Farah Griffin told the House committee that investigated the January 6 riots for several months that Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka was never really a calming influence on her father.

Griffin, who served as Donald Trump’s director of strategic communications toward the end of his presidency, also mentioned that The former president’s eldest daughter and his longtime adviser, Hope Hicks, had a moderate role in the White House.

“There are a bunch of myths that have been created, and I don’t know if people pushed certain public relations or what, but there was also this narrative that Hope Hicks would be able to communicate with him (Donald Trump) and reject it,” Griffin said.

“I never saw Hope Hicks push him. (It was said that) Ivanka was, like, the voice of reason and she could change her mind. I like Ivanka. She was very decent to me, but I never saw her (make) change her mind about anything”, he counted.

In addition, he indicated that the presence of the former president’s daughter in the team did not change things for the better. “It was Ivanka, Hope and Jared (Kushner) who convinced him to do all of Lafayette Square and clean the park hard. I also… I question this notion that she had excellent judgment that we… I don’t know. I didn’t see her presence as something that would change things for the better, that’s my point.”
