Hotel and vehicle: particular concept for the electric Renault 4

Ronald Ortega

Renault is one of many brands leaning towards the sustainable transition, but it will not stop making attractive and elegant vehicles. The electric Suite No. 4 is proof of this, as it serves as a reinterpretation of the classic model, but with a vision that points to the future of mobility through alternative energies.

It has a totally redesigned and adapted rear part to resemble a luxury suite on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the mythical Renault 4L. The vehicle concept has been thought out and designed by Mathieu Lehanneurwho modified this part of the car to offer a totally different experience, as if it were a hotel.

Much of the surface of the body has been replaced by polycarbonate windows, in addition to extending the glass surface, all in order to provide a feeling of spaciousness and comfort. Fusing architecture with the automotive sector was the fusion extracted by Lehanneur to create an open-air hotel.

“Better than the most elegant palatial suite, the car is exactly where you want it to be, whether it’s by the sea, in the middle of a field or driving through the city you’ve always dreamed of,” said the car’s designer.

On the other hand, at the mechanical level no specific details have been revealed. Any information regarding the power unit or the battery is unknown, the only thing that is known is that the section is fully electrified. In fact, as it is a model inspired by the marketing area, instead of what it can offer on the streets, the insurance benefits will not be so exorbitant.

What is fully visible are the solar panels that the electric Renault 4 has after the implementation of grids on the roof of the car. It allows the passage of the sun’s rays at the same time that it recharges the battery.
