César 'Chelito' Delgado comes out of retirement to play in Gerard Piqué's King's League

After announcing his retirement from professional soccer, Gerard Piqué became a manager and is now president of the King’s League, a seven-a-side soccer tournament organized by players, former soccer players, and streamers. One of the figures of Mexican soccer came out of inactivity and will return to football. This is César ‘Chelito’ Delgado.

The former Cruz Azul will follow in the footsteps of Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernández and Gerardo Torrado and will participate in this new project to be part of the team of renowned streamer Juan Guarnizo. This was announced by the club on its social networks.

‘Chelito’ had a great time in the MX League and appeared in clubs like Rayados de Monterrey and Cruz Azul. Now, at 41, he will play for the team of the husband of the renowned Mexican streamer, Arigameplays.

This club, of which Delgado will now be a part, also recently announced that they will be coached by Sergio Verdirame, a former player for Colón, Colo-Colo, Morelia, Cruz Azul, Santos Laguna and Rayados de Monterrey.

The new tournament will have the presence of Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernández as player number 12 of Porcinos, the club of the famous content creator Ibai Llanos. However, the Aztec striker will only play one match on orders from LA Galaxy.

Gerard Pique’s King’s League

The King’s League is a seven-a-side soccer tournament created by streamers, players, and former soccer players. It will be released in the month of January and would last for 11 days that would take place until the month of March, approximately.

This project will take place on Sundays with six commitments per date and will have Gerard Piqué as president, former players such as Iker Casillas or Sergio ‘Kun’ Agüero and content creators of the caliber of Thegrefg, DjMariio, and even the Mexican Rivers.
