American actor Eddie Murphy will be recognized with the Cecil B. DeMille Award for Lifetime Achievement; it will be delivered to you during the Golden Globe ceremony, which will take place on 10 of January of 2023.
The president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, 
Helen Hoehne, issued a statement announcing the decision to award Murphy, who began his career at the stand-up
, to later be part of the cast of the television program “Saturday Night Live” and later becoming one of the most popular stars in comedy film: “We are honored to present the Cecil B. DeMille Award for this year to the iconic and much appreciated Mr. Eddie Murphy. We are delighted to celebrate the lasting impact on film and television that his career has made, in front of and behind the camera, over the decades.”
Eddie has been nominated for a Golden Globe six times , obtaining the award in 2007 for his work on the tape “Dreamgirls”. Currently working on the fourth part of the saga of “Beverly Hills cop” , to be released next year by Netflix.
