The discovery of the lifeless body of Samuel Ávila Marín, alias “El Vago” , identified as the leader of the criminal group Los Tequileros , and who days before was taken from a prison in Guerrero by an armed commando.
Now, a video began to circulate on social networks in which the criminal is interrogated by a group of gunmen, who apparently belong to the cartel of The Michoacán Family.
In the images, Ávila Marín confessed that it was he who planned the murder of 12 people in the municipality of San Miguel Totolapan , where the mayor of that community, Conrado Mendoza Almeida, died .
According to the testimony of “El Vago”, this attack was carried out by orders of the former mayor and former local deputy Saúl Beltrán Orozco. “Saul gave us weapons and money to pay the people” , declared the offender, who at the time of his confession was surrounded by heavily armed men.
The intention of Beltrán Orozco, according to the person questioned, was to finish off his political enemies and return Los Tequileros to control of the area they dispute with La Familia Michoacana.
In addition, he explained that prior to the attack, he stayed outside the municipal seat planning the details and confident that nothing could go wrong, “because inside the presidency we had an informant” .
Finally, “El Vago” pointed out that his captors had not beaten or tortured him, so his confession would not have been under pressure from the armed men, although he later appeared dead on a road at the height of the municipality of Tlapehuala, also in Guerrero.
Although at first the San Miguel Totolapan massacre was attributed to the Los Tequileros group, it was later indicated that who would be behind this bloody event would be La Familia Michoacana , according to reports from the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection.
