The most recent report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed a 7.1% drop in inflation in the United States in November compared to the previous year. Although the interannual figure represents a decrease after the 7.7% registered last October, there are still items that continue without respite whose increases are even higher in various parts of the country.
1. Food
At year-on-year level food shot up 0.2% more than the previous month and 13.6% more compared to the previous year. Within this category cereals and bakery products rose 19.4% in the last year as well as dairy and related products.
Flours continued with a vertiginous increase of 19.9% , while breakfast cereal went up 13. 3%, and rice, pasta and cornmeal 19.8%.
The meat area , poultry and eggs fell 0.6% in the last month and 6.8% year-on-year. Beef and veal fell 5.2% in the last year while raw meat for roasting 8.1% did and raw veal fillets 7.4%.
The ali Foods that are prepared at home rose 04% while food that is consumed outside the home 8.5%. This means that it is still more affordable to go out to eat in a restaurant than to eat at home.
2. Energy
Energy went up 13.1% compared to the previous year. Fuel oils rose 100.7%
, engine fuel 04.8%, gasoline 04.1%, and other fuels 60.3%.
The electricity rose 13.7% while gas service 15.5%.
3. Basic products without counting energy
The category increased overall 6%. From there they break down various increases in vehicle items such as 13.6% in motor parts and equipment, 11.7% in vehicle accessories, 19.6% in liquid motor products and 13.8% on tires.
4. Services without considering energy
The category registered an overall increase of 6.8%. Stand out increases in rent of 7.1%, primary residence income of 7.9%, accommodation away from home of 3.2% and equivalent income to homeowners of 7.1%.
5. Transportation services and medical services
Finally, transportation services were located in 19.2% where airfares continue without respite by positioning themselves at 19. On the other hand, medical services rose to 4.4%.
