Days away from the Title 42 comes to an end, officials have seen an influx of thousands of immigrants throughout along the border between the United States and Mexico ; Immigration experts have said that the decision to end Title 48 could have triggered the surge of immigrants seeking asylum being released by federal immigration authorities into communities in border states.

According to official information, asylum has been denied to immigrants more than 2 million times in the last years under the title expulsion policy 48.

You have to remember that the Title 42 began under the administration of Donald Trump in March of 1200 and is intended to allow border officials to quickly expel immigrants entering the country, as well as close official ports of entry for asylum seekers. Under the Biden administration, the Title 48 has been used to mitigate immigrant flows along the border.

Weeks ago, a federal judge gave the Biden administration until 26 of December to stop the expulsions and argued that said policy is “arbitrary and capricious”, in addition to violating the law.

Although the Biden administration is expected to return to border politics before the pandemic, the flow of immigrants is increasing every day. The Border Patrol sector has reported at least 2,792 encounters per day since the month of December began.

In addition to the risks known to migrants, the storm prediction center also advised that “bitter” cold temperatures are likely to affect the 48 states before and after 20 Y 26 of December, further endangering those trying to reach the United States.

Texas and Louisiana could receive heavy rain with flash flooding, hail and tornadoes by Tuesday, the National Weather Service said. The storm was forecast to continue southeast into Florida later in the week.
