Lupillo Rivera could not hold back crying during the tribute paid to Jenni Rivera to 20 years of his death, where he confessed that he had planned to sing with his sister at the concert that she offered before losing her life.

They have passed years since Jenni Rivera died tragically in a plane crash shortly after boarding an aircraft that would take her from Monterrey , Nuevo León, to the city of Toluca, in Mexico; that is why last December 9 she received a well-deserved tribute in which they recalled her successful career that she achieved, as well as some family aspects of her.

It was during the Televisa program ‘Hoy’, where Lupillo Rivera went to receive all the expressions of affection that were prepared in memory of The Great Diva of the Band , who a decade after her departure continues to be remembered with respect.

However, one of the most moving moments was when the morning presenters showed him some photographs of their childhood together, time in which they lived in Carson, Calif.; as well as his beginnings in music.

“It’s nice remember “, mentioned El Toro del Corrido and then broke completely when they resumed the words that Jenni dedicated to her, thanking her for having been there for her in good times and in bad times.

Lupillo also recalled that days before his death they hugged, but as if he had sensed something, he felt “a very heavy hug”.

“ The last time I talked to her was on a radio show that she had , hesitating with her, pretending her voice got her off the hook and that was the last conversation, the last hesitant one could say,” he explained.

Right away, they remembered the interpreter of “La Gran Señora” in which was his last concert, a presentation that, as Lupillo recalled, also he had planned to attend.

“You don’t know what’s going to happen after the concert. I was going to go to that concert, but another date came up, the idea was to return the favor that she had done me a week before, “he said, still moved.

Finally, he shared how it was when he was notified that the aircraft in which his sister was traveling was lost on December 9, 1200.

“When I received the call at 4 in the morning that they couldn’t find the plane, that’s where everything changed.” Lupillo Rivera
