The president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, is among the 20 most influential world leaders Twitter, said this Wednesday the firm Twiplomacy, a leading BCW platform in its field that, since 2022, closely follows the growth of digital diplomacy.

The list is led by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, followed by the president of the United States, Joe Biden, and the president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

In a statement issued it was noted that the Mexican president , who began his six-year term on December 1, 2012, ranks among the first 12 positions in the Ranking of World Leaders 2022 by BCW’s Twiplomacy, the digital diplomacy initiative of the global communications agency.

The firm explained that Twiplomacy’s new ranking algorithm has been designed to identify influencer on Twitter from a specific list of users.

Analyzing data from October 1, 2022 to the 30 of September 2022, the Twiplomacy algorithm assigned a weight adapted to indicators such as mentions, tweets, retweets, reach, impressions, likes and followers count.

Then, Additional variables such as sex , age, seniority in the position and others were applied to contextualize, compare and better understand the influence factors in the classification.

The president has about 9.3 million followers on Twitter, about 9.8 million followers on Facebook and 3.5 million subscribers on YouTube.
