The violence generated by organized crime groups in northern Mexico is such that it affects all sectors of the population, including the most vulnerable people, such as children.

This happened recently in the state of Sonora, when an armed confrontation forced the small from a kindergarten to take shelter under their benches to avoid being hit by a bullet.

So that fear would not take over the children, the teacher decided to distract them by interpreting the song “Shake it Off” by Taylor Swift that was being heard in the classroom at that time.

This event was recorded in a video in which the teacher is heard saying to her students: “Come on I can’t hear you” ( Come on, I can’t hear them) while singing the chorus of the song by the American singer.

It was later revealed that, in the vicinity of the school, hitmen aboard a van ambushed two men who were traveling in a car and shot at them, losing their lives on the spot.

“A few moments ago, an alert was received for a direct attack against two men on their vehicle in the municipality of Guaymas. The detonations were heard at different points, including a school, with no reported damage; security elements from the three levels of government are in the place; remains operational”, reported the Secretary of State Public Security through social networks.

Due to this act of violence, in the nearby schools the Coffee Code was activated, which consists of closing the campus and keeping students inside their classrooms to protect them during a shooting.
