Texas lawyer found dead after pointing a gun at his ex-girlfriend at a bar

The Texas attorney who was arrested after allegedly trying to shoot his ex-girlfriend at the bar where she worked was found dead Wednesday.

Gavin Rush, who had been released on $25,000 bucks after wild altercation involving his ex, he was discovered dead at 4:40 pm. by police conducting a welfare check, Fox News reported.

Rush allegedly pulled a gun on his ex during his Saturday shift at the Anderson Mill Pub after she refused to speak to him.

Officials have not disclosed how the man in died years, but said the circumstances “are not considered suspicious”.

The former lawyer has a criminal record of self-destructive behavior, according to court documents. His ex-girlfriend told police that he had threatened to hurt himself after learning she was in a new relationship and reportedly tried to shoot himself in the head after his failed attempt to kill her over the weekend.

Shocking surveillance footage captured the moment he stormed into the tavern and slammed a small leather satchel on the bar.

“So you’re just not going to talk to me?” he reportedly asked.

When she told him no, Rush pulled out a pistol with its laser sight attached to his chest, according to an affidavit.

Luckily, two brave patrons sprang into action and snatched the gun from his hands. The gun went off multiple times during the fight, but no one was hurt.

One of the men said Rush tried to put the gun in his own head when they knocked him to the ground, but were able to keep his finger off the trigger.

According to the unnamed ex-girlfriend, Rush had been trying to rekindle their relationship when he found out she was already seeing someone new.

She had stopped responding to his messages after he threatened to hurt himself and his new partner, she told the police.

Rush, who has a history of domestic violence, was charged with second degree felony, aggravated assault with family violence with a deadly weapon . He was released after posting bail.
