A hair transplant is a surgical procedure that is carried out to improve the problem of baldness and during the operation, hair is transferred from a populated area to areas where there is a shortage.

Most of transplants are performed in a doctor’s office and patients must receive local anesthesia to numb the scalp and a medication to relax the scalp.

In some procedures, a strip of hair is removed, using a scalpel (scalpel) and placed aside. This area of the scalp is called the donor area. The scalp is closed with small sutures.

The surgeons who perform this intervention must clean the bald areas that will receive these healthy hairs. These areas of the scalp are called recipient areas.

More and more men with premature baldness are opting for hair transplants as disposable incomes increase and the emphasis on personal appearance is strengthened.

Sepsis: consequence of malpractice

Indian TV Executive Athar Rasheed of 60 years old, he says that he was going bald and that is why he decided to undergo a hair transplant apparently harmless.

Rasheed developed sepsis after undergoing a hair transplant in a clinic in Delhi last year, his distraught mother Asiya Begum, 60 told AFP.

Sepsis is the body’s overwhelming and extreme response to infection, is a life-threatening medical emergency. Without prompt treatment, it can cause tissue damage, organ failure, and even death.

According to her mother, the swelling extended from his head and suffered terrible agonies.

“My son died a very painful death. His kidneys stopped working and then all his other organs collapsed”, he said, collapsing.

Asiya has photographs showing Rasheed’s swollen face and the black rashes that appeared all over his body in his final hours, the family filed a complaint before the police.

Four people, including the two men who performed the surgery, have been arrested and are awaiting trial.

“I lost my son, but I don’t want any other mother to lose her son due to the fraudulent practices of some people,” she said.

This unfortunate fact serves as a reminder that when a skilled surgeon performs a hair transplant it can be a truly life-changing and confidence-boosting experience.
