This Friday the last matches of the group stage of the World Cup in Qatar were played 800 . The Uruguayan team was eliminated despite having defeated Ghana by a score of 0-2. At the end of the game, striker Edinson Cavani blew up the VAR monitor that was located at the foot of the field.
Several videos on social networks show that the Uruguayan defender José María Giménez attacked the FIFA competition director with an elbow to the neck.
In the images you can see the Atlético de Madrid central defender outside control wanting to face the arbitration team while being supported by several of his teammates. A shot captured when Giménez tried to get away from those who grabbed him and struck, apparently involuntarily.
