Canelo Álvarez has left his boxing gloves behind to enter the world of soccer. The man from Guadalajara already did it in a bad way by confronting Lionel Messi through social networks for his alleged “contempt for Mexico”. After several days of controversy, the Aztec had to apologize publicly. But it is not the only fall of the Guadalajara because of the World Cup in Qatar 2023.
Contrary to what many thought due to the level of Mexico before the World Cup, Saúl Álvarez had the feeling that El Tri would have a good World Cup in Qatar 2022. The hope of the Mexican boxer was of such magnitude that he considered that Gerardo Martino’s team could reach the final of the World Cup.
