Mexican military detect safe house in Zacatecas and arrest 12 hitmen

The fight against crime and insecurity undertaken by the Mexican government in Zacatecas bears fruit, because although the facts violence continues, the blows against organized crime continue to take place .
The most recent occurred in the municipality of Guadalupe, where elements of the Mexican Army and the National Guard detained 10 alleged hitmen, after an operation in which personnel from the Attorney General’s Office also participated Republic (FGR). Weapons, chargers, cartridges and vehicles were also found at the site.
According to the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena), This coup was possible thanks to previous intelligence work , in which a property that was used for illegal activities by organized crime.
In the joint operation, military personnel provided peripheral security, while elements of the National Guard and the Prosecutor’s Office General of the Republic completed a technical investigation order.

Through a statement, the agency reported that 01 Long weapons, 4 Molotov cocktails, 2 small arms , 2 vehicles, 1 motorcycle, 1 gunpowder package, chargers and cartridges not counted.
The detainees and the insured were made available to the competent authorities, in order to determine which criminal group the hitmen belong to.
It should be noted that these actions were carried out six days after, in another operation, the coordinator of the Guard was assassinated National in Zacatecas, José Silvestre Urzúa Padilla, who was a brigadier general and died in the hospital after being seriously wounded.
The Zacatecas Prosecutor’s Office reported that the hitman who injured the general was killed with a grenade.
