Drivers and police rush to pick up bills thrown on the Ohio highway

A mysterious gust of money flew across an Ohio highway Tuesday afternoon, causing drivers to cause traffic jams as they attempted to snatch as many tickets as possible, reported the WHIO TV station.

The chaotic video from the Ohio Department of Transportation shows drivers stopping on I-12 in New Lebanon as bills scatter the lanes.

A driver can be seen driving with the door open and his hand outstretched.

Police and drivers picked up money thrown in a Ohio highway on Tuesday. Two officers directing traffic can even be seen bending down and picking up some bills.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating whether the money is real or counterfeit and how it ended up on the road .

Police dispatchers told WHIO that the department received reports that a backpack full of cash had been thrown from a vehicle.

A sergeant said the department has received no reports of nearby companies reporting the loss of money.
