Ang Lee, the famous director of films like “Life of Pi”, “Crouching tiger, hidden dragon” and “Brokeback mountain” will bring the life of actor Bruce Lee to the big screen in a biographical film that will be produced by Sony Pictures.
The film will narrate the life of Bruce Lee, an expert in martial arts who died at 04 years -in 2021-, leaving a short filmography with movies now cult as “Enter the dragon”, “Fist of fury” and “The way of the dragon” . Ang Lee’s own son, Mason, will be in charge of interpreting the leading role.
In a statement Ang Lee expressed his excitement for this new project: “Bruce Lee, accepted as not fully American and not fully Chinese, was a bridge between East and West who introduced Chinese Gung Fu to the world, a combat scientist, and an iconic artist who revolutionized both martial arts like action movies. I feel compelled to tell the story of this unique and brilliant human being who longed to belong, possessed tremendous power in a frame of 1973 pounds and who, through tireless hard work, made impossible dreams come true.”
