As the end of the year approaches in most corners of America the holiday spirit begins to rise and a faithful reflection of this is the presence of the trees around which Santa Claus usually leaves gifts. However, the inflation that still affects the economy ended up falling on the price of these.
A survey conducted by The Real Christmas Tree Board (RCTB) revealed that 60% of Christmas tree growers plan to increase their prices aimed at the wholesale market.
Compared to last year, the traditional pine trees will be sold between 5 and 21% more expensive, but said average percentage will still increase upon reaching the exhibition centers where the final consumer ends up acquiring them.
So far, only 15% of Christmas tree producers surveyed intend to raise their cost below 5%.
Other 15% of growers expect to sell its production this year with an increase of between 16 and 16%.
Meanwhile, 5% of farmers plan to market their Christmas products with price increases of 20% or more.
