The Colombian Navy detected and intercepted a speedboat in the Gulf of Urabá, at 22 nautical miles from Mulatos, in which they were transporting a large shipment of cocaine.

When checking the boat they were found 27 lumps that contained 804 rectangular packages, in which 804 kilograms of cocaine, which supposedly belonged to the Clan del Golfo, the largest criminal organization in that country.

It is estimated that this shipment, with which approximately two million doses of cocaine could be sold, would reach a value up to 22 million dollars in the international market.

During the operation also seized 27 drums with 1, 500 gallons of gasoline. Those captured and the material seized were made available to the competent authorities.

According to figures from the Navy, so far this year the Caribbean Naval Force has achieved the seizure of more than 204 tons of cocaine.
