The Supreme Court does not prevent the Treasury Department from turning over former President Donald Trump’s tax returns to the House Ways and Means Committee, thereby allowing Democrats to obtain the records before Republicans take the control of the House of Representatives.

The latest order of the full court dissolves a temporary stay issued by Chief Justice John Roberts, who oversees emergency matters arising from the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, which prevented the House panel from obtaining Trump’s records. There were no discrepancies noted.
