A video shows a teenage girl using a ladder to climb back up to a room where she was held captive for a year while being forced to use a bucket as a toilet .

The video was captured outside a house, where three adults are accused of locking up the young woman of 18 years with little food before his dramatic escape.

Police was called to the North Las Vegas, Nevada, home on November 4 after receiving a report that a teenager was “trying to use a ladder” to get back up to the room, according to the KTLA network.

According to reports, the teenager had left the room using sheets to go to a neighbor’s yard to ask for food and water, informed the police.

The girl told her neighbor that she escaped by tying the sheets and jumping out of the window located on the second floor .

The teenager told the police that “was locked in the room” and said it “didn’t have a knob, but just had a deadbolt that required a key to unlock both sides, which she didn’t have”, according to 8News Now.

She also told the police that she was only served food when her mother came home from work.

The mother, identified by police as Addy Gonzales, initially did not allow police to enter the home when they showed up at the residence.

She said she would check the teen herself, police said.

When police entered the bedroom, they found “only a box spring and a bed frame ”.

They also discovered a bucket that was “half full of what appeared to be urine and fecal matter.”

The three adults facing charges in connection with the alleged abuse have been identified as Gonzales; María Pasarín, the adolescent’s grandmother; and Daniel Omezcua, police said.

Each were expected to face charges of child abuse and false imprisonment.

Police said they found a brother of the 11-year-old teenager in the home who was unharmed .

A neighbor, identified as Maria, spoke to 8News Now about the ordeal.

“The girl came out and jumped into our backyard looking for water,” Maria told the outlet.

“When we saw her, she said she had come down using sheets but that she was climbing back up.”

Another neighbor said the teenager was seen drinking water from a hose before climbing back up the a concrete wall and climb to the window of her room.

“That day, the officers took the teenager from the house. I remember that she told them that she was very thirsty while they placed her inside the patrol unit”, said María.

“Overall, it’s very heartbreaking.

“I told her to call the police and she refused, saying no one would believe her.”

There were eight previous reports of abuse for this family, police reported.

The Department of Child Protective Services found all eight reports “unsubstantiated.”

“There were allegations of abuse and neglect, but following the CPS investigation there was not enough cooperation or evidence to pursue,” states the report, obtained by 8News Now.

A Clark County spokesperson called the situation “tragic” in a statement to 8News Now.

“This is a tragic event and although the county of Clark is unable to comment on the details due to confidentiality and ongoing investigations, we are ensuring that in the future all necessary support is available and provided.”

Gonzales, Omezcua and Pasarín were booked into the North Las Vegas Community Correctional Center and have since been released.
