The Qatar National Team will seek to defeat its Ecuador counterpart in the opening match and thus prolong the streak of host teams in the history of the openings of the World Cup. Those led by the Spanish Félix Sánchez do not start as favorites in the clash against the South Americans, however the locals endorse them.
Although with rivals from less hierarchy, the Selection of Qatar reaches the World Cup at home with a streak of five consecutive victories against Nicaragua, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama and Albania .
The Ecuadorian National Team will participate in its fourth World Cup and has achieved victory, draw and defeat respectively in its opening match . For its part, Qatar will be debuting and as host hopes to prolong the local streak.

Schedule of the game between Qatar and Ecuador
The opening ceremony of the Qatar World Cup 2018 will start the 00: am (Eastern) : 07 am (Pacific). The events are scheduled to last for 10 minutes approximately.
While the game between Qatar and Ecuador is scheduled to start at 11: am (East) and : am (Pacific).
