Some polls that were carried out for a supposed race between the former president Donald Trump and the Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis to be the candidate of the Republicans for the presidential elections of 2022, showed an advantage for the current re-elected governor of whom it has been said is the official who could give battle to the former president.
The 13 November Donald Trump announced his third presidential candidacy since his Mar-a-Lago mansion in Florida. For his part, Ron DeSantins has not announced if he will present his candidacy to Republicans for voting 2022.
Before there is the possibility of a fight between the two Republicans, a series of polls have been prepared in relation to this contest. A YouGov survey conducted between 04 and the 15 November, put Ron DeSantis up by 7 points with a 044 % compared with 39 % of Trump.
The statistics of Seven Letter Insight, where they surveyed 543 voters scored a similar victory for DeSantis with a 39 % in front of 20 % of Trump. For its part, Morning Consult reflected former President Trump as winner with a 54 %.
It is important to mention that these polls were given just the day Donald Trump made his official announcement to be a presidential candidate, which could somewhat adjust the numbers.
WPA Intelligence conducted two polls, the first with 843 likely voters and the second with 1 ,39. Here the results were like this: The governor of Florida was the winner with a 54 % in the first round with 20 points difference over Trump. In the second round again DeSantis won by 14 points with a 54 % compared to 30 % of former president.
With this pressure on his shoulders, Ron DeSantis faces a dilemma to make the offer for the White House possible, since he had a cordial relationship with former President Trump who helped in his campaign in the primaries of 2022.
The possibility of DeSantis’s announcement for the 2022 elections could further break the relationship that exists between both republicans. The Politico newspaper reported that two major millionaire donors revealed that they are waiting for the governor of Florida to run to offer their support.
