Ted Cruz believes that “it would be crazy to vote for McConnell” for Senate leader

Some senators have called for the Republican Party’s internal leadership elections to be halted, since they first want to analyze what happened in the midterm elections. In addition to exposing the mistakes that Mitch McConnell has made during his tenure, the current leader of the minority whom they want to overthrow, including Ted Cruz who during his podcast revealed that “it would be crazy” to vote for the senator again.

“Everyone is somewhat to blame, but it would be crazy if we re-elect the same leadership within two days”, he added annoyed.

Meanwhile, Ted Cruz and other Republicans asked that the Senate leadership votes be postponed until after the 6th of December, the date set for a runoff election for the Senate in Georgia. But everything indicates that this will not happen, since they are scheduled for this Wednesday.

For your part, Senator Rick Scott of Florida told his fellow Republican senators that he will challenge the Senate Minority Leader, to be the House Party Leader next year, as revealed by CNN.

Although he has little chance of succeeding he is the first real challenger who faces McConnell. Scott, who heads the National Republican Senatorial Committee, has had a long-simmering conflict with McConnell, as he differs from resource intervention in senatorial midterm races.
