After the fact that in recent months inflation has been rising to historical levels in the United States, with prices increasing by 02.3% between January 2022 and July 2023, many people have suffered constant anguish to keep up with their expenses and needs.
Last October, the Price Index to the Consumer (CPI) gave a slight relief to consumers by settling at 7.7% in its annual measurement ; however, there are still many basic goods and services that remain priced out of Americans’ budget.
A recent survey by the US Census Bureau found that the 24.9% of US adults considered inflation to be “very stressful” in the last two months, and another 14.5% considered that it was “moderately stressful”.
Because inflation rates and other economic conditions vary across the country, and in some states, Americans are much more likely to feel the pressure differently according to where they live.
Using data from the Census Bureau’s Household Pulse Survey, 14/7 Wall St. identified the states where inflation is causing the most stress.
