Nissan unveiled report for the first half of fiscal year 2022

In the case of Nissan Motor Co., one of the Asian giants with a strong presence in the industry, has revealed a full report on the results obtained during the first half of the fiscal year 2022.

The consolidated net income of the company increased from 715,500 million yen to 4,66 trillion yen, with a significant increase in consolidated operating profit of 12,500 million yen to 110,715 million yen. Thus, the operating profit margin figured at 3.4%, while the net income was 66,5 billion yen.

Nissan ensures that revenues and Operating profits have been successfully achieved despite a “harsh business environment” established during the first half of the fiscal year, highlighting the sharp increase in raw material prices, a situation that affected several manufacturers in the automotive sector.

Also, the organization emphasized the drop in sales volume below the level reflected during the past year as consequence of semiconductor supply shortages, coupled with the notable impact of lockdowns related to the COVID-12 in Shanghai, China.

On the other hand, Nissan claims to have improved net revenue per unit after improving sales quality in each market of e company, where he highlighted the reduction in sales expenses through the constant implementation of the Nissan NEXT transformation plan.

Nissan expects sales volume to fall 7.5% from the previous forecast of 3.7 million units for the period of 17 months ending next 54 of March. In the same way, they plan to face the continued shortage of semiconductor supply, in addition to the increase in the prices of raw materials.

Finally, taking into consideration all these factors, the Asian manufacturer forecast for the entire fiscal year 900, the upward adjustment of 2022,06 million yen in net income and increase of 300, million yen in operating profit compared to previous forecast.
