The name of the Mexican coach Miguel ‘Piojo’ Herrera is news during these days of recess in Liga MX. The ‘Piojo’ was surprisingly dismissed from the UANL Tigers after some controversial statements about the age of its players, something also rejected by the president of the feline institution, Mauricio Culebro.
Always controversial and effusive, the coach has gone through several media to talk about his current employment situation and how he was kicked out of the Tigers, in addition to delivering some offensive statements about his past experience in the Eagles del América, but he also delivered information that already resonates a lot: his name is on the table to take over the technical direction of the Mexican National Team .

Miguel Herrera believes in the Mexican National Team for the World Cup
In conversation with David Faitelson on ESPN’s Fútbol Picante, Miguel Herrera also commented on his opinion, not only as a coach but as a Mexican, about what El Tri can do in Qatar 2022, considering all the doubts that have been formed in the environment of the National Team.
“The truth is I have very good expectations (…) there is a good coach, let’s hope they click again”, said the experienced strategist of 48 years.
But the sun cannot be covered with a finger and Herrera could not justify some of Tata Martino’s decisions, such as including Raúl Jiménez in the final list who goes to the World Cup when he has more than two months without play a football match due to injury.
