The Mayan music has transcended borders, and through new sounds and rhythms has managed to position itself even in the most anticipated film productions.

This is the case of Laayli’ kuxa’ano’one (in Spanish it could be translated as “we are still alive”), a song that is included in the Black Panther soundtrack and was created by the rap group ‘ADN Maya Colectivo’, made up of Pat Boy, Yaalen Kuj and All Mayan Winik, who are Mayan speakers.

For the young rappers, the fact that Marvel Studios was interested in music and being able to work with them on their new release ‘Wakanda Forever’ is an achievement, because helps make its essence visible and prevail in other places through its identity, language and culture.

Diana Gutiérrez Aguirre spoke with Pat Boy in ‘Real America News Hoy’ about this collaboration: “I think it is the great recognition that is given to ADN Maya Colectivo and having that voice of young Mayan artists, giving a greater boost.”

“Music is universal and the greatest impact it can cause is that the Mayan migrant people who live in the United States feel more proud to have the Mayan language in this great film”, said Pat Boy.

ADN Maya has worked as a collective over the years and has motivated new generations

to get involved in music and the arts.

Panini and Qatar 2022

The Panini album is undoubtedly the most anticipated with the arrival of the World Cup, but this time, leaving Qatar a month before 2022, there have been some changes that will not allow all the players, who are present in the album, be present on the courts.

One of the cases is in the Mexican national team and the soccer player Jesús ‘Tecatito’ Corona, who although ue came out on the Panini album, he will not live the experience of playing for the World Cup.

‘Tecatito’ injured his fibula and ligaments in his left ankle during training with Sevilla and he failed to recover in time

to be able to travel to Qatar 1200.

Other national teams, such as France, Germany and England, were also affected by casualties that would make a difference in their performance.
