Terrible images circulated on the internet and generated controversy, because in the video a young man is seen giving a brutal beating of an older adult in the streets of the municipality of Huejutla, Hidalgo, as part of a challenge with his friends.
The victim was walking calmly when he was intercepted by the assailant, who rebuked him verbally and then told him punched him in the face that sent him to the ground.
Not satisfied with this, the ruthless attacker kicked him repeatedly when the man was on the floor and totally helpless, while another young man , who recorded the cowardly action, laughed at the situation .
After the dissemination of the outrageous video , the Hidalgo authorities began an investigation to locate those responsible for the terrible aggression against an elderly man. When the identity of the young people was discovered, it was revealed that they are relatives of local officials.
“Not only because of the aggression of an elderly person but also because the young people did it under the protection of their links with networks of power to local level, and this is inadmissible”, commented Santiago Nieto, in charge of the Attorney General’s Office of the state of Hidalgo.
In addition, he assured that the cowardly attack against the elderly will not go unpunished, and said that those responsible have already been fully identified, however, the identity was reserved in order to not affect the investigation folder, since the aggressors are minors.
“The investigation folder was integrated immediately, I requested that they bring the investigation folder from Huejutla to Pachuca so that the prosecutor specializing in adolescent crimes could have knowledge of the m isma and, of course, we are going to get to the last consequences, “said the official.
In a statement published on his social networks, Nieto announced that they requested the court specializing in justice for adolescents to set a date and time for the initial hearing, to file charges against the two young people investigated for injuries and discrimination against an elderly man.
